Arrested two people in Phu Quoc for fraud

Police arrested two people in Phu Quoc for fraudulently selling illegal land, according to private detective news in Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

Phu Quoc detective service agency – Dao Van Quy and Bui Van Hieu were accused of illegally encroaching 1.5 hectares of land in Phu Quoc.

After that, these two people sold it to many people to build a series of illegal villas on Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam.

Quy and Hieu, both living in Ho Chi Minh City, were arrested by Kien Giang Provincial Police on charges of fraudulent appropriation of property.

According to the investigation agency, in 2019, the two defendants agreed with some people to occupy 1.5 hectares of public land in Duong Bao hamlet, Duong To commune, Phu Quoc city.

Then divided the lots to sell to dozens of customers, illegally making a profit of 15 billion VND, Ho Chi Minh detective.

Each villa is 200-350 m2 wide, with a complete transportation, electricity, water, and cable system.

One villa owner said he only wrote a handwritten note to the seller because he thought the land had not been issued a red book.

At the end of 2022, violations began to be handled, this villa was demolished by the government because of violations.

Kien Giang police are expanding their investigation into the case in Phu Quoc.
