Chinese national arrested for stealing nearly VND 200 million from restaurant in Da Nang city, Danang detective service.
On February 16, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police announced that they had issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Zhang Junhua (born in 1974, Chinese national) for three months to investigate charges of theft.
According to initial investigation findings, the incident occurred while Ms. L.T.N. was having dinner with friends at a restaurant in the city.
Taking advantage of the victim’s distraction, Zhang Junhua secretly approached the area where her belongings were kept and carried out the theft.
The suspect stole various personal documents, valuables, and other assets, with the total damage estimated at nearly VND 200 million (approximately USD 8,000).
After discovering the loss, the victim reported the incident to the police.
Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police promptly conducted verification and investigative measures to identify the suspect.
Through investigative efforts, authorities determined that Zhang Junhua was responsible for the theft and subsequently arrested him for further investigation.
