On December 17th, 2025 – the drug crime investigation Department of the Da Nang city police arrested Le Van Vy.
Danang detective service agency, he was arrested for his involvement in the illegal possession and use of narcotics.
At noon on December 16th, police forces, along with the Hai Chau Ward Police, inspected an apartment on Nguyen Du Street in Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang, which Vy had previously rented.
Vy, Nguyen Phuong Hung, and two others were present at the time of the inspection. Police seized a package containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine, along with related paraphernalia.
Rapid tests showed all four individuals tested positive for methamphetamine, Vietnam detective agency, Da Nang detectives.
At the police station, Vy admitted to purchasing the drugs with the intention of using them at the rented apartment and inviting the others to participate on the evening of December 15th, 2025.
The police have issued an emergency detention order against Nguyen Phuong Hung to continue investigating and clarifying his involvement in organizing the illegal use of narcotics.
