Fine selling beer to people under 18 years old from 15/10/2020

Pursuant to the decree issued by the government, Decree 98/2020 / ND-CP, effective from October 15, allows a fine of 500,000 to one million VND for the sale and supply of alcohol and beer. for people under 18 years old. This is a useful punishment to limit alcohol and alcohol abuse for those under 18 years old.

Decree 185/2013 / ND-CP only sanction acts of selling alcohol products to people under 18 years old, however, the sale of beer to people under 18 years old is not specified.

The above Decree complies with the Law on Prevention and Control of Harm of Alcohol and Beer in 2019, effective from January 1. Pursuant to Decree 98/2020 / ND-CP allowing a fine of 3 to 5 million VND for acts of selling alcohol, beer using vending machines; trade in alcohol and beer products at locations where alcohol and beer is banned according to regulations. In addition to the fines, violators also have exhibits and means confiscated and forced to pay back the proceeds from the violation.

The person / unit of employer who is under 18 years of age directly involved in the production and sale of alcohol and beer shall also be fined from 3 to 5 million VND. Pursuant to Article 29, a fine of between VND 500,000 and one million applies to traders who trade in alcohol with an alcohol content of less than 5.5 degrees who act by providing inaccurate or false information about the effects of alcohol or beer. with health.

A business person with an alcohol content of 5.5 degrees or more who acts of providing inaccurate or false information about the health effects of alcohol or beer will be fined from 10 to 20 million VND. Pursuant to Point b, Clause 4, Article 4, the above-said fine levels shall apply to acts of violations committed by individuals. If the organization is in violation, the fine will be doubled.
