Investigation information from authorities in Da Nang city, Vietnam.
Authorities said that Vo Thien Sinh, former Vice Chairman of Cam Le District, and Vo Thanh Quy, former Head of Urban Management Department, were arrested.
These two people are accused of accepting bribes from businesses, Vietnamese detective.
On December 8, Da Nang Police said that the suspect Sinh, 44 years old, and Quy, 36 years old were investigated for taking bribes;
Nguyen Dang Nhat Huy, 39 years old, former deputy director of Thy Nghia Hung Co., Ltd., on charges of giving bribes.
Sinh and Quy allegedly received nearly 3 billion VND from Huy, Danang detective agency 2022.
The incident happened when Thy Nghia Hung company, participated in the bidding and construction of the bidding package for the project of dredging mud for the sewer system in 2021.
Sinh and Quy were suspended from their posts before being arrested.
Da Nang police are expanding the investigation of this serious case.
