Hanoi: 3 young men arrested for stealing 138 computers

On the morning of June 30, 2025, at the warehouse of Noi Bai International Airport, two young men, Nguyen Van Thai and Nguyen Manh Hoang, both residing in Soc Son, Hanoi, drove a car to the warehouse.

Then, they used a knife to cut 14 packages and took away 138 mini computers.

On the evening of July 1, 2025, Thai contacted Nguyen Hong Son in Noi Bai commune, Hanoi, asking him to sell the computers.

Son found a buyer for 1,820,000 VND/unit but only reported to Thai 1,400,000 VND to receive the difference.

Son also received an additional 20% of the total proceeds from the sale of these computers.

As soon as the theft was discovered, Noi Bai Airport Police coordinated with Hanoi City Police to investigate.

By July 10, 2025, all three subjects were prosecuted; all evidence had been seized.

The incident is a warning about security loopholes at the airport.
