Binh Tan district police, Ho Chi Minh city are temporarily detaining Nguyen Minh Tan and Nguyen Viet Nam to investigate the act of buying and selling prohibited goods.
On the afternoon of January 13, 2025, Ho Chi Minh city police discovered Nguyen Minh Tan riding a motorbike carrying 4 boxes of firecrackers and 200 firecrackers.
Searching Tan’s residence, authorities seized an additional 200 spherical firecrackers, 2 boxes of firecrackers and 12 homemade firecrackers with a total weight of more than 32kg.
Expanding the investigation of this case, Binh Tan district police identified Nguyen Viet Nam as the person who sold illegal firecrackers to Nguyen Minh Tan and proceeded to arrest him.
In this case, at the house rented by Nam in Vinh Phu ward, Thuan An city, Binh Duong province, Vietnam.
Police seized 666 sets of firecrackers, 14 strings of firecrackers, 10 bags of ball firecrackers and many related evidences.
Binh Tan district police are expanding the case for investigation.
