Ho Chi Minh City police arrested eight South Korean nationals involved in a drug ring, after announcing on January 24 that they had successfully dismantled a drug-related network operating within the city.
During the operation, authorities arrested 10 suspects, including 8 South Korean nationals.
According to investigators, the suspects were involved in the possession and organization of illegal drug use.
Among those detained is one individual wanted under an international arrest warrant.
The arrests were carried out as part of a high-intensity crackdown on drug crimes aimed at ensuring public order and security ahead of the Lunar New Year.
Police are continuing to expand the investigation to clarify the roles and specific violations of each suspect in the network.
