Penalty 15 months for youth to hit traffic police

Information from the investigation agency in Dak Doa district, Gia Lai province, Vietnam.

The court opened a first-instance trial and sentenced defendant Le Duc Minh to 19 years old and 15 months in prison for the crime of “resisting public official”.

On April 13, 2023, Minh was driving a motorbike to the intersection of Wuu – Le Loi when he saw the district traffic police.

Minh does not wear a helmet and does not have a vehicle license.

Fearing that the competent force would handle the violation, Minh drove the car to change direction to avoid.

Ta Ngoc Truong, an officer of the Traffic Police – Order Team of the Dak Doa District Police, gave an order to stop the car.

Minh increased the throttle of the motorbike, drove the car straight into Mr. Truong, damaging 6% of his health.

The case is a lesson for many young people about obeying the law.
