The court of Bac Lieu province, Vietnam tried and sentenced defendant Nguyen Van Sil, residing in Bac Lieu province, to 8 years in prison for murder.
At 2:00 p.m. on March 19, 2023, Bao held a drinking party with Nguyen Van Sil, D.T.T. and a man named Tuan.
After drinking, Tuan asked Sil to contribute money to buy more beer, but Sil did not agree.
Tuan said vulgar words, making Sil angry.
Sil took a glass to hit Tuan but didn’t hit. Tuan ran away, Sil chased after him and continued to fight.
Advice to stop Sil was unsuccessful, Mr. T. said: “If he doesn’t listen, call the police to arrest him”.
Sil picked up a 1.5 meter long piece of wood and hit Mr. T., causing him to fall to the ground.
Sil continued to hold the wooden stick and beat Mr. T., causing injury.
After the examination results, Mr. T. suffered 31% bodily harm.
