The People’s Court of Bac Kan province sentenced defendant Ma The Ho to 8 years in prison for murder.
On the afternoon of November 10, 2023, Ho came home from working in the fields but could not find the key to the rice box.
He suspected that Mr. Le Vy N., Ho’s neighbor, took and hid the key.
Vietnam detective agency, Ho took a sharp knife and went to N’s house to resolve the conflict.
Ho did not ask about the key to the rice box, but instead took a knife and slashed N., causing the victim to be seriously injured at a rate of 37%.
During the investigation and at trial, defendant Ho became aware of his own criminal behavior.
The jury sentenced defendant Ma The Ho to 8 years in prison and forced him to compensate victim N. an amount of 90 million VND.
