On August 9, 2023, the police of Cam Thuy district, Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam said that the police had investigated and clarified the case that a family had 8 gold coins stolen on the wedding day.
Cam Thuy district police received a report from Mr. Truong Cong Thang that he and his wife lost 8 gold coins as a gift on their wedding day.
During the investigation, the police identified the culprit as Pham Thi My Duyen.
Duyen is a close friend of the bride, invited to the wedding.
Duyen confessed that she went to the wedding room of her best friend’s wife to take pictures.
Duyen opened the closet door of the bride and groom and saw a white plastic bag with gold inside.
Duyen took 8 gold threads and put them in her bag and left.
