According to information from the authorities, on April 14, 2020, Thien was arrested by the Police of Van Canh District of Binh Dinh District, Vietnam, and issued a decision to prosecute and arrest him for his actions against the person on duty. The court and the People’s Procuracy of this district also agreed to conduct shortened proceedings to bring the case to trial strictly before the law.
Accordingly, the incident occurred three days ago, the working group of Van Canh District People’s Committee, consisting of 16 people, including 5 police officers, discovered a coffee shop in the neighborhood in Van Canh town, owned by Thien opening the door, violating the regulations on prevention of Covid-19; should have campaigned, reminded guests to leave, compliance with current regulations, investigation services in Vietnam.

Thien did not obey the requests of the mission, but also insults and curses. Thien was restrained when using knives and machetes to chase the members of the inspection team, the incident caused insecurity in the locality.

This man carries 4 criminal convictions for intentionally causing injuries and was sent to reform once. The case is continuing to be clarified by investigating authorities – investigative services in Vietnam.
