Truck carrying 2,500 cakes of unknown origin

Information from the Environmental Police Department of Ha Nam Provincial Police, Vietnam said that the unit cooperated with the 2nd interdisciplinary food safety inspection team of Ha Nam province to detect a truck carrying 2,500 moon cakes, the place of manufacture is unknown

Checking the car with the license plate 90C – 103.45 driven by driver Ngo Van Hung residing in Hung Cong commune, Binh Luc district and Ngo Thi Phuong Duyen, residing in Dong Du commune, Binh Luc district being the owner of the goods.

On the car, there are 25 boxes of moon cakes with a total quantity of 2,500 units, printed with foreign letters, without labels as prescribed.

Vietnam Detective – The owner of the goods, Duyen, could not produce invoices and documents proving the origin related to all of the above goods.

The owner admitted that he had purchased floating goods in Lao Cai province for 3,200 VND/piece and transported them to Ha Nam province for consumption.

Ha Nam Provincial Police handed over the case to the No. 2 interdisciplinary food safety inspection team to sanction administrative violations against Ngo Thi Phuong Duyen; forcible destruction of all infringing goods.

The case is further investigated and clarified – private detective in Vietnam.
