The People’s court of Ha Tinh province sentenced two defendants, Xeng and Sisavanh Yongyaerlor. These two people were born in 1988, Lao nationals.

On May 9, 2024, at Cau Treo international border gate, the authorities inspected a black Mercedes car with a Lao license plate.
This car was driven by Xeng, Sisavanh Yongyaerlor was the passenger in the car.
The authorities seized a large quantity of drugs, including nearly 18 kg of methamphetamine and ecstasy; 20 kg of ketamine; 10 kg of heroin and 19 kg of methamphetamine.
The total weight of these contraband goods was nearly 70 kg, all of which were hidden under the car.
These two people confessed to transporting the above drugs from Laos to Vietnam for a fee of 28,000 USD.
