A man mistakenly transferred up to VND 12 billion to another person’s bank account due to a name duplication during a transaction.
Upon discovering the error, he quickly contacted the bank and reported the incident to the authorities to seek assistance in recovering the money.
According to initial information, because the recipient had the same name, the sender failed to carefully verify the account number, resulting in the funds being sent to the wrong person.
After receiving the report, the bank began reviewing the transaction and coordinating with relevant parties to handle the situation.
Authorities have also stepped in to verify the case, working with the unintended recipient to clarify the matter and request the return of the mistakenly transferred amount in accordance with the law.
The case is currently under further investigation, Vietnam detectives agency.
