Tuyen Quang Education Director Charged in Exam Cheating Case

Vu Dinh Hung is the Director of the Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training. He has been charged with abuse of power while performing official duties.

The case involves alleged cheating during the 2026 national high school graduation examination at Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted.

According to investigators, exam supervisors and candidate seating arrangements were allegedly manipulated to facilitate collusion among students.

Candidates were reportedly allowed to exchange answers during the examination.

Teachers were also allegedly assigned to solve exam questions and provide answers to candidates.

A total of 41 people have been charged in the case. They include education officials, exam supervisors, school principals, vice principals, and numerous teachers.

Investigators said violations occurred in every examination room and across all subjects at the test site.

The case came to light after unusually high mathematics scores were recorded at Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted. Of the 328 candidates, 146 scored a perfect 10. Another 299 candidates achieved scores of 9 or higher.
